Ted Rall has a cartoon echoing my thoughts on the Ukrainian elections.

I have wonderful reports via family members from acquaintances in the Ukraine of the atmosphere surrounding the demonstrations and related efforts there. One common thread has been the presence of Ukrainian pop bands, giving the demonstrations the feeling of rock concerts in the US. Here, of course, we tell our musicians to keep their mouths shut and quit being political.

Here's a interesting concept as Christmas approaches. An organization called Buy Blue suggests purchasing decisions be based on the political contributions companies make. It has a Buy Blue Christmas campaign, suggesting we find out what businesses have been naughty, which have been nice and shop accordingly. The idea evidently has its source in a day-after-the-election post at Daily Kos.
